Type of property
Walton Close is a welcoming bungalow where people are supported to live independently. The semi-detached, accessible property has one bedroom, a spare room, a kitchen, living room and dining room, and one wet room style bathroom. There is also an accessible garden with a patio for people to use when the weather is good. The bungalow has assistive technology including an alarm system that links to local authorities.
Valued in your community
At Walton Close, we place people’s personal interests, needs and aspirations at the heart of absolutely everything we do. We are in a vibrant area with a range of shops, restaurants, cafes and pubs. Neighbouring Halesowen offers Shipleys Amusement Centre, Cornbow Shopping Centre, a library and high-street banks, while nearby Merry Hill Shopping Centre also offers larger shops and an Odeon Cinema. For people who like to stay active, we have year-round access to local leisure facilities at Halesowen Leisure Centre. Dudley is our nearest large town and provides access to Dudley Zoo and Castle with the Zoological Gardens, Priory Park, a bowling alley and a range of shops and restaurants.
Living at this service
Walton Close is a single-occupancy bungalow so is suitable for a person of any age and any personality. The residents in the neighbouring bungalows like to socialise - someone with a similar outlook is very welcome. The other people we support in the area enjoy watching television, listening to music, walking, going to the pub, woodwork, football, shopping, gardening, going to the local day centres and being in the community.
“Walton Close is in a very quiet area, on a street with older residents so it’s safe. Everything you need are within walking distance. As the bungalows are so close, everyone interacts on a daily basis which gives them a strong sense of community.” Manager, Walton Close
