Coach House
Life-changing support for adults with learning difficulties, autism, physical disabilities and acquired brain injuries.
Type of property
Coach House is part of a vibrant community, providing the perfect mix of independent living and collaborative, community support. Living in this shared house means individuals can benefit from a network of friends and staff, while having peace and quiet whenever they need it too. The semi-detached property has five bedrooms, each with an ensuite wet room style bathroom. The house has a shared bathroom with bath, a kitchen, laundry room and open-plan lounge and dining room. Coach House is equipped with an intercom system, and a TV with cable. There is also a large accessible garden with a patio and BBQ. Next door, the other half of the semi-detached property is part of Lifeways too.
Valued in your community
Coach House is located in the peaceful countryside, which offers tranquil walks when the weather is good. In nearby Tewkesbury, you’ll find all the local amenities you need including cafes, pubs, shops, nature reserves, as well as the John Moore Countryside Museum, the Roses Theatre. We also enjoy year-round access to Tewkesbury Leisure Centre for swimming and other fitness activities, or Tewkesbury Library for reading and other clubs. People choose how they spend their time - we enjoy day trips to Cheltenham and Worcester for the cinema, bowling, shopping and museums, or trips to the coast, theme parks including Drayton Manor and Alton Towers, and West Midland Safari Park.
Living at this service
The property would be ideal for a man aged 35 and over. The current available rooms are located on the second floor, which is not wheelchair accessible. The people we support here are men aged between 40 and 65. They are independent, enjoy their own space and have strong personalities, so would welcome an individual with a similar outlook. The men we support here have mental health conditions, Down’s Syndrome, autism, learning difficulties, and can display some challenging behaviours. Their interests range from shopping, cooking, bowling and walking, to visiting the cinema and garden centres, watching horse racing and playing bingo in the house.
“Coach House is a person-centered place where the individuals we care for are supported in making decisions and reaching their goals. The staff help people to lead fulfilling lives and always ensure they enjoy their time in the property and community.” Manager, Coach House
