Valued in your community
The people we support in Cartbridge Lane enjoy going into the community. Walsall is the closest town. It is a vibrant place with all the necessary amenities including pubs, cafes, restaurants, Reedswood or Crown Wharf Retail Parks with high-street shops and banks, and Saddlers Shopping Centre. There is also the New Art Gallery, Lichfield Street Hub Library, The Light Cinema, and the Walsall Gala Baths for swimming and other leisure activities. The local area has a park with an outdoor gym, basic shops and a McDonald’s. At Cartbridge Lane, people choose how they want to spend their time - we often take day trips to Weston Super Mare and enjoy eating out together or going to the pub.
Living at this service
Cartbridge Lane is well suited to a person aged between 40 and 60. This person should be able-bodied as the entrances into the bungalow and out to the garden are not wheelchair accessible. The current resident is a 55-year-old woman with learning difficulties. She is a quiet individual who enjoys a calm atmosphere. Her main interest is her dolls, which she likes to take into the community. She also enjoys watching television, going for walks, shopping, going to the pub, eating out and colouring.
“Cartbridge Lane is a beautiful house. The staff have worked there for a long time and pride themselves on providing a happy environment. They work hard to gain the trust of the people they support, helping them to live their lives as independently as possible. The staff also encourage individuals to hit personal goals.” Manager, Cartbridge Lane
