Each month, Lifeways inducts several hundred new Support Workers, and other colleagues.

And as the UK’s largest team of support professionals, proper training is absolutely essential.

But when the COVID-19 pandemic started, Lifeways’ training and inductions process had to change fast.

Changing to an online induction model took just 3 weeks – and has been successful. We’ve been able to induct 46% more Support Workers during the pandemic than before.

Designing and leading this ambitious, time-sensitive change were Jane Manton, Group Head of Learning, Development & Specialist Support, and Rachael Mannion, Learning Design Manager.
