Covid 19 – update 17 December 2021

Throughout the pandemic our priority has been keeping those we support, our colleagues, families, and visitors safe. We have done this through following Government guidance and we continue to do this as we see the emergence of the Omicron variant.

Visiting arrangements:

In England, Scotland and Wales we continue to follow the latest guidance in regard to, any limits in respect of numbers of visitors (care homes), to meeting people both indoors and out. This applies to all those living in both Residential care homes and supported living. In order to minimise risk we are asking visitors to continue to follow the infection control measures in place which could include:

  • Handwashing/sanitising on arrival, regularly during your visit, and before you leave

  • Being asked to show proof of a Lateral Flow Test (LFT)

  • Being asked to wear PPE

  • Having your temperature taken on arrival

  • Supplying information about recent travel history and whether you have had any symptoms or exposure to anybody with symptoms – if so you may not be able to visit and should seek further advice.

  • You should also try to come prepared with tissues, to catch, bin and kill any germs from sneezes/coughs during your visit.

Please note - if there is a classified outbreak, we may have to temporarily review visiting arrangements in line with Health protection advice, but you will be made aware of this by the relevant manager (Essential visits are still able to go ahead) and once the outbreak is deemed over, usual visiting arrangements will resume.

If you would like to know more about the current visiting arrangements, please contact the service/Registered manager.

Referrals and moves are being undertaken in line with guidance. If you have any queries please contact the Enquiry, Referral and Assessment Manager that you usually deal with.
